Modern Jane. Isn't her front door (below) the cutest thing you've ever seen? We need a new front door (hoping it can be a Christmas project when my father-in-law is in town...) and it would be awesome to paint it a fun color. I'm thinking something in the yellow family. Thoughts?

I am so obsessed with front doors! I want a red one...yeah, not the most original but I absolutely love red front doors.
ReplyDeleteremember my old place in the wash park hood? the landlord told me he painted every house yellow with a green door because it makes them look like they're smiling. Granted, that place had a very crooked smile and the landlord is now in prison for mortgage fraud, but that color scheme has stuck with me. Thanks for the much-needed color palette tip! So much of our house still needs a repaint (the previous owners painted everything the same color...a shade I affectionately call smoker's white) and I'm hitting a wall on color choices.
